This policy explains what information PR Press collects when you visit prpress.co.uk, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to this website only.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond and to keep a record of the correspondence.
Information collected automatically. Like almost all websites, our servers log technical data about each request: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the time of the visit. This data supports security, abuse prevention and aggregate traffic analysis.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies make the site function and cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies help us understand which articles are read and how readers arrive, in aggregate. Advertising and embedded-content providers may set their own cookies when their content loads on a page. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; essential functionality will continue to work, though some embedded media may not.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting web analytics to measure readership. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to build advertising profiles of individual readers. You can opt out of most analytics collection using your browser’s tracking-protection settings or an extension of your choice.
Third parties
Some pages embed content hosted elsewhere, such as video players or social posts. When that content loads, the provider receives your IP address and may set cookies under its own policy, which we do not control. We do not sell, rent or trade reader data to anyone, and we do not share your contact details with advertisers.
Legal basis and retention
We process technical log data on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure website, and correspondence on the basis of legitimate interest in replying to you. Server logs are retained for a short operational period and then discarded. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the matter and any follow-up, then deleted.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased where we have no continuing reason to keep it, to object to processing, and to receive a copy of data you provided to us. Children
PR Press is a general news publication and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and changes
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we hold, including encrypted connections across the whole site. No online transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we change this policy materially we will update this page and revise the date shown below. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
